As LFJ reported in December, the prominent UK funder Lionfish is facing a challenging road ahead as its owner, RBG Holdings, announced that it would be reviewing the strategy for its litigation finance arm.

Outlined by reporting in City A.M., RBG recently announced the firing of chief executive Nicola Fouston, who is being replaced by chief operating officer, John Divers. RBG stated that it had fired Foulston due to “cultural concerns and the execution of the group’s strategy”, and that the board had “lost confidence” in her leadership.

With the company’s share price continuing to suffer after this latest announcement, RBG has maintained that it would continue with a strategy to limit its exposure to funding commitments through Lionfish.
