Whilst public conflicts between funders and clients are a rare sight, when a major dispute erupts between the two parties it is sure to be a drawn-out affair. The dispute between Burford Capital and Sysco Corporation is proving to be just such a conflict, as Sysco has failed to bundle its motion to vacate Burford’s existing injunction with one of the antitrust lawsuits at the heart of this dispute.
