Billionaire’s Mansion Case Provides Huge Fast Return for Burford
Ira Rennert’s plea for a reversal of a $213 million judgment was rejected by the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. The judgment stems from complications with the bankruptcy of his magnesium company more than fifteen years ago. While the road for creditors seeking payment has been a long one, the appeal has provided an opportunity for litigation financing investors to almost double their money at speeds so fast that it sounds to good to be true.
